Ela
Thompson
I discovered PAC about 3 years ago and loved the business
model. My shop sells mainly dresses. Big ones, small ones,
cotton ones, silk ones, colourful ones and black ones.. a dress
for everyone. I also love selling vintage fabric with fantasies
about women sewing like they once did. Cowboy boots are really
fun also. I import most of my stock from Europe, Japan and more recently, America. Some
stock comes from local 'op' shops and garage sales. I love to
travel and try to integrate any trip I take with vintage!
My business ethos is all about providing clothes that make a
person feel more at home in their skin.

Shop 7
Jean and Glen have been in the
business for about 30 years.
We have been at PAC for the last
10. A dislike for most new furniture, led us to restoring our
own old furniture and bits n pieces.
We sell an eclectic mix of unusual small furniture, interesting
collectables, and ladies vintage apparel, including dresses,
lingerie, hats and bags. Special interest pieces include
uniquely decorated vintage dressmakers mannequins, and vintage
suitcases that have been rescued and given a makeover. Most of
our stock is sourced locally. We were among the first dealers to
introduce the very popular "shabby" look and also country style
painted furniture.
We endeavour to bring something different to our furniture
pieces, such as bold colour choices that add
character to each piece for those more adventurous people who
think "outside the box" and appreciate something unique with
flair and imagination.

Shop 21
Michael Hunjas is a builder residing on Brisbane's northside.
He has been creating these quirky metal creatures for the past
10 years using recycled building and household items. Lots of
old window latches and catches, door knobs, gas fittings,
hinges, basically any interesting old bits and bobs that can be
tranformed creatively and given a new life. Our front page
sculpture "Pup" was the first to be created, followed closely by
"Vince". This all began in the cliched "shed out the back".
Benches are literally covered with potential body parts for
Michael's next creation.
